Hundreds of fast food workers strike over minimum wage, by: Tiffany Hsu july 29, 2013
Hundreds of fast food workers from around the country band together to organize strikes that want to raise the minimum wage from $7.50 to $15. They have started strikes in New York City, Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Mo., and Flint, MI. Recently people have intensified their efforts to raise the federal minimum wage. However this raise in wages may end up having negative consequences for the employees since companies may then switch from human labor to automated ordering systems. I think that raising the minimum wage will be bad for the economy since it will cause companies to hire fewer people and cause more poverty.

I agree that an increase in wage would be bad for the economy. Also, fast food workers don't have a very hard job, which is why they are paid a small amount.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your opinion and that it's bad for the economy. Most people get minimum wage because they don't have a good job.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you raising the minimum wage might have a worse effect on the economy than keeping it the same. such as laying off more workers
ReplyDeleteIt is bad that these people are getting paid so little but it can be hard for bussinesses to pay them more
ReplyDeleteAsking for 200% of what the minimum wage is now is too much.
ReplyDeleteBusinesses will be affected by the raise of minimum wage which will affect the economy.
